Separate Ministry has been set up for welfare of the minorities

Dehradun:(Newstrust)-Delegation of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha called on Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Friday and invited him to Guru Parva celebration to commemorate birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev on 28 November at Race Course. Mr. Bahuguna said that the State Government believed in marching ahead in the path of development taking all communities along.
 Mr. Bahuguna said that a separate Ministry has been set up for welfare of the minorities. The delegation put forth demands including establishment of Punjabi Academy, filling up vacant posts of Punjabi teachers and identification of Sikh majority villages in minority areas for priority in welfare. Chief Minister Bahuguna assured the delegation to consider their demands seriously and do the needful. The Delegation was led by Rajendra Singh Rajan. Also present on the occasion was State Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana.
