Dehradun-The Chief Secretary, Subhash Kumar, reviewed the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna at the Secretariat on Thursday. The Chief Secretary gave directions to use the remaining funds by September. He has said that proposals should be sent for the projects which have got sanction for 2013-14 and the money should be issued at the earliest.
He said that work on accepted projects should start immediately so that the government could be contacted for the second installment of money.
The CS also gave directions that all officials concerned should go and inspect the work going on in allotted sites. He said that the organisation concerned should be coordinated with and money should be used within the given time frame.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Ranvir Singh said that under RKVY different organisations have Rs 53 crore with them. Out of which, Rs 21 crore had been spent till August. Under the project, work is being done on animal care, animal husbandry and fishery.
Present at the meeting were Secretary, Fisheries, RC Pathak, Director, Agriculture, CS Mehra, Director, Animal Husbandry, Dr Kamal Mehrotra and other officers.
He also reviewed Thursday the progress made on implementing announcements made by the Chief Minister. He reviewed whether the directions given by him on the meeting held on 2 September were being followed.

He has given a period of 15 days to implement the declarations. He will hold a review meeting again on 20 September. He has asked the officials to complete the required work by then.
